Helping you Prepare for the Future

We’re here to help you make the most of your retirement plan. Here’s how we can help:

Income Replacement Analysis

How much will you need to replace your paycheck in retirement?

When can you retire?

Managing your money is hard enough during your working years. However, once you retire, you need to replace your paycheck. There’s nothing easy about forecasting how much you will need to put away now to ensure you can live the lifestyle you want in the future. And most people want to know when they can afford to retire, too.

To help you, we offer a free Income Replacement Analysis. With this report, you’ll find out how much you need to plan on accumulating to replace your current income. This process can provide you with much needed clarity on when to retire and how much you should be saving and investing each month.

If you’re a participant in a plan managed by CRC, please contact your Human Resources Department, or email us, to arrange an Income Replacement Analysis.

Model Portfolios (available with most plans)

Not sure how to invest your retirement plan money?

If you have a retirement plan at work, you need to act as your own investment manager. There’s nothing easy about that, especially if you don’t have a finance background. Even if you do, research shows that most investors tend to buy and sell at the wrong times, making progress difficult. Then, they frequently forget to rebalance periodically, so often give back gains when the market drops.

Fortunately, there’s an easy solution. For most plans, we offer professionally managed Model Portfolios. With model portfolios, you simply choose that as your single investment, instead of picking individual mutual funds. Then the investment process is handled for you by our money managers.

What’s a Model Portfolio?

Model portfolios are a one-stop choice where you choose a pre-assembled portfolio based on your risk-tolerance. The portfolio is made up of a variety of funds. The portfolio is managed daily by professional money managers with specialized knowledge and training.

What’s the benefit of using Model Portfolios?

The benefit is professional management for a reasonable fee, so you don’t have to worry about managing your own account. Instead of worrying about what to buy or sell, you can simply choose the Model Portfolio option. You get a blended, diversified mix of investments that is watched by professionals and rebalanced quarterly, so your risk level is managed. It saves you time and worry.

What’s the cost for the Model Portfolios?

The Model Portfolios utilize low-cost institutional mutual funds, so we are able to deliver professionally managed accounts to you for about the same you’d pay investing on your own. Additionally, the fees for Model Portfolios are usually less than you’d pay for Target Date Funds. Any reduction in investment expenses keeps more of your money working for you.

Which Model Portfolio is Right for You?

The Model Portfolio options are Conservative, Moderate and Aggressive. So you simply pick the risk profile that best suits you.

Conservative. Conservative investors have a short (2 to 5 year) time horizon, usually because they are nearing retirement. They prefer a higher level of income with less of the risk involved in investing in stocks.

Moderate. Moderate investors will have a relatively short time horizon (5 to 10 years). They will hold a combination of stock and bond investments. Overall, investments will emphasize growth over income.

Aggressive. Aggressive investors will have a time horizon of usually one or more decades. Aggressive investors are willing to take more risk for the potential of greater returns in the long run.  Their focus is on wealth creation.
